Ethan Burns, a senior at Mountain View High School in Stafford County, last year helped start a recycling program in the school system.
Burns is chairing a contest in which students create one- to two-minute videos or slide shows about recycling. Ethan made a video with a friend to advertise the contest.
One winner will be selected from each school level--elementary, middle and high--and the videos will be aired on public-access television.
Each winning school will receive $300 from Waste Management Inc. to go toward an environmental project.
